goals included developing a minimal
footprint, low-cost MRI Scanner
to be used in small clinics at
a very low cost per scan. Through
the extensive use of Systems Analysis™,
coupled with marketing research,
a partial-body
immersion scanner that functions
in a vertical and horizontal position
was conceived, thereby capturing
all markets of MRI extremity scanning.
The
total product development
approach resulted
in the productionization of
an unprecedented scanner, providing
the market with advanced
design and engineering
results,
